Rick, Elis and Odette recently attended the British Birdwatching Fair at Rutland in the UK in order to present and promote the UBWC to the world for the first time.

The response was overwhelmingly supportive with many tour companies pledging to add the Rancho Pica Pau and the UBWC to their itineraries in support of our aims.

Among the generous donations that we received was one of 10 pairs of binoculars made by Dominic Mitchell, the chief editor of Birdwatch magazine.
Receiving Souza's All the birds of Brazil from Joy Enston of Subbuteo books.
Subbuteo books presented us with a copy of Deodato Souza´s ‘All the Birds of Brazil’, the English version which they publish.

Were able to get a copy of Helmut Sick’s Birds of Brazil, again the English version when we were able to convert Mrs. B.Simpson’s offer to buy a book for the centre library using the money she had donated.
Rick met a few past clients at the fair and one couple, Graham and Penny Lower presented us with a pair of 8 x 40 binoculars.
